ID have helped Creative Worldwide on this project for 12 years, generating IP and consulting as a design and advisory service during concept to manufacture for this commercial manned submersible Jet Ski: “Scubacraft”.
The concept of a tri-miran style jet powered submersible vehicle with controlled bouyancy situated in the two outer hulls was originally the invention of IDs MD, Steve Bookbinder, during his MSc final project. Having experience with a similar jet ski style craft, Creative Worldwide Ltd adopted the design and under agreement, have pursued development in collaboration with ID and Robin (MD of Creative Worldwide has come onboard to help ID with futher automotive enquiries.
Aspects of design included engineering principles of hydro/aerodynamic functionality, structural and shell system, buoyancy placement, ergonomics and aesthetics.

Fuel efficiency device: ECOMIX Ltd needed help to design and develop an ECU to control a revolutionary process to improve the efficiency of diesel engines. Diesel engines, though highly reliable, are inefficient; typically no more than 70% of the fuel is burnt in the engine, the remainder still burning as it leaves the exhaust system (witnessed by long plumes of black smoke!). ID was asked, with one of our electronics contacts to supply a solution.
The introduction of a very small amount of LPG – 7-15% by volume – dramatically increases the thermal efficiency of the engine, resulting in a 95-97% combustion rate, with typical overall fuel savings of some 20%.
Ecomix are now selling and installing the product globally, with the Far East as well as Europe keen to take advantage of the financial and ecological benefits it offers.
