Design within medicine is the nucleus for the improvement of future health issues. The use of design and engineering principles in medicine is becoming more prevalent as we go on. The emergence of medical devices has sparked a new boom in the development tools that are created for implementation of diagnosis and dispersion of treatment.
Many new revolutionary medical technology disciplines are finding solutions within the scientific fields of bio mechanics, bio-engineering, stem cells, micro fluidics, MEMS and nano-tech that will soon see costly procedures such cancer diagnosis and treatment become as regular, low cost and easy as that developed for diabetes or asthma. As cures and prevention become administered with new techniques, recovery times will become faster and the reduction of effects caused by illnesses and ailments will be easier to manage.
Design and development of diagnostic and delivery devices is a core competence for Intelligent Development and a big part of our future strategies. Previous experience of medical device development and our skill set in innovation and design places ID in a perfect position to undertake complete turn-key solutions. We are extremely knowledgeable of high volume disposable devices, low volume long life devices and re-useable systems within EN 13485.
ID beleive that as product development specialists with many years experience in developing medical and measurment products, we are perfectly positioned to aid in the development of your future systems. Whether fluid control for delivery, low powered monitoring, reactive agent testing or you just need help in developing test systems for engineering or clinical trials, ID can help.
ID was involved in a highly confidential project, covering design services for Phase 0, I & II of the development process of a new generation of specialised key hole surgical devices for Olympus Surgical technologies, manufactured, in Class 7, clean room, semi automated environment.
ID possess a multidisciplinary skill-base of industrial design, mechanical engineering, electronics, sensor and software development. Together with specialist prototyping facilities, we support client projects throughout the complete process of research, creative concept generation, design development, test, production, compliance and industrialisation.

Education is a key attribute for improving mass health issues, focusing on greater ease of diagnosis and treatment. Home market systems can be confusing, even misleading and sometimes incorporate unnecessary error without correct guidance and education. ID believe the UK obtains a core competence within our national infrastructure to become a world leading force in medicinal solutions.
ID in-house experience of spectroscopy equipment, ranging from low to high powered systems. ID have been continuously working on a number of solutions for clients who’s identity has been requested to be kept confidential.
Our natural instinct for survival is why medical product development is so important and sustainable. Focus is on increasing awareness and knowledge within health and medicine of technologies that can help influence a physically/ psychologically moulded, healthier society.
